Kelly, from Overland Park, Kansas sent us this note:

We had our soup swap last week at my work. Seven of us swapped soups here in the youth services department of the Central Resource Library of the Johnson County Library. Here's a list of who made what:

Linda: sausage tortellini
Katie--roasted tomato
Susan--ham and pea
Dennis--broccoli and cheese
Jan--pistou (French pesto)
Angel--mystery [HOW ALLURING!!!]
Kelly--French onion

The freezer at work! Hurrah! How much would I love a freezer stuffed like this at my place of employment...and coworkers who loved good tasting soup!

We hope to see Overland, Kansas next year during National Soup Swap Day...but if not, we hope they are inspired to try it again.

Winfield, Kansas!

In what is likely the last swap we'll hear of that will be swapping on January 23, National Soup Swap Day, we're pleased to tell you about Winfield, Kansas Soup Swap.

Now folks, you know you'd have to have some super eager friends to tell them today, and have them swap soup with you with the over twenty groups that will be swapping on the January 23rd. It is good times, that is for sure, as we trade phone calls and give each other the shout out, but seriously...

If you are here for the first or second time and thinking, "Man, that seems like fun, I ought to do it, but bummer! I missed the deadline!" NO WAY! Have a soup swap, and tell us about it. We'll add you to the mailing list, and next Novemeber you'll get a swell email asking if you're in again for National Soup Swap Day...plus, you'll get an occasional email...not to many...we do have day jobs...with some tips, reminders, and if we can get it together, information on the Soup Swap cookbook.

Overland Park, Kansas Swaps Soup

Overland Park is on the Kansas side of Kansas City. It's also home to the first Kansas Soup Swap, in a place where I'd think Soup Swap's would be all the rage.

Wedding photographer, Kelly, will be hosting the first swap. We're still gathering details, but word is she's actually coordinating two: one for work and one at home!
